SOCCER CAMP
SUMMER 2023 Holiday soccer camps
During school holidays, we run soccer camps across the East Midlands. These give boys and girls aged four to 12 the chance to stay active and develop their football skills in a safe, secure and fun environment. Activities include exciting games, skill challenges and an FDS tournament. There’s also a chance for players to gain a place in our Development Centres and Shadow Squads.
All our soccer schools are run by qualified and background-checked coaches. All you need to bring is a large healthy packed lunch, drink (in refillable bottle), indoor and outdoor footwear and clothing.

Professional days
Specialist development days take place on dedicated dates or at pre-season days. They are open to all Development Centre and Shadow Squad players.
During the day, players are treated as young professionals, receiving sessions on:
- Diet and nutrition
- Sleep and rest
- Speed Agility Quickness (SAQ)
- Homework – professional standards
- Match play – how young professional players play with and without the ball
- Crossing and finishing
- Agility testing – the most important quality of a footballer
UK residential training camp
Each year, we run a residential training camp at the state-of-the-art Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire, which was the base for the England national team for 15 years.
The course helps players get used to being away from home, which is important for their footballing and personal development. The focus is on tournament football, including preparation, game management and being a winner.
Email fixtures@developmentschools.co.uk for more information.
** Open to all FDS/AV FC Development Centre Players and Shadow Squad Players.
